Djordje Bobic, Chief Architect of the City of Belgrade
has shown his support for BelRE in the past two years: This Fair holds great importance for Belgrade and our country. The goal of this fair is to establish communication. When you take your projects and your proposals to a fair abroad, you are on the margin, one of many such exhibitors. It is a completely different matter when those foreigners come to Belgrade, have a chance to feel the atmosphere, and see it with their very own eyes. This is why this Fair is so important.

Bojan Stanojevic, City Manager
: This is the second year that this Fair is being organized, and the City of Belgrade is providing the Fair with all necessary institutional support. We believe that the real-estate boom which has happened in Belgrade, in the field of both business and residential space, will continue, and a place such as BelRE is really needed in order to provide an annual meeting point for supply, demand, and all other aspects of commerce which are offering additional services, loans for citizens, and project financing. The fact that this year's Real Estate and Investment Fair has doubled the number of its exhibitors makes it clear that Belgrade has experienced a construction boom. My wish is for the investments to be spread equally over all of Serbia's municipalities instead of being retained in Belgrade only.

Aleksandar Vlahovic, Eki Investment, former Minister for Privatisation
: I am certain that this part of Europe shows promise and that large investors are watching this part of the Balkans with great care.

Jasna Matic, State Secretary in the Ministry of Economics and Regional Development
said, at the opening of BelRE, that she is certain that this event will grow into a large happening which will illustrate the huge growth in the real estate and investment sector in this country, as well as in the entire region. She expressed hope that in two to three years, the situation will be such that all of Belgrade will talk about this fair, and investors from all around the world will come to it to observe the climate and check their investment opportunities.

Vesna Peric, director of the Serbian Investment and Export Promotion Agency (SIEPA):
Certainly, Belgrade and Serbia need a project such as BelRE, considering the expansion of investments in the field of real estate. A fair is always an excellent opportunity to present the current trends in an area, as well as to conduct business. I hope that in the coming years, as we continue our development, BelRE will grow into a true international fair with a regional importance, and the SIEPA will, on its part, continue to offer its full support. At the end of the day, Belgrade is the natural centre of this region, and it can thus be expected for BelRE to soon become the chief regional real estate fair.
Milan Parivodic, one of the partners in Wolf Theiss and the Prime Minister's Advisor for Economic Issues
said that it is important for the State to carry out certain reforms, privatisation, to return the city building land to its original owners in order to accelerate the development process.

Dr. Herbert Preclik, The Austrian Commercial Counsellor
: BelRE will provide the foreign investors with an opportunity to gain new information and a more clear picture of Serbia's emerging real estate sector which is experiencing explosive growth.
